TRIP REPORT from the Disney Magic.
(September 20-27, 2003)

Despite Hurricane Isabel, everyone managed to get to Port Canaveral on time.
The day was a bit overcast, but didn't hamper our Sail Away shindig on the upper
decks.  By Friday evening, suitcases were unpacked and new friendships were
already forming.  Sunday morning got off to a great start with a Champagne
Breakfast in Palo hosted by our very special guest, Deb Wills of www.WDWIG.com.
The food was phenomenal, and we all rolled ourselves out of the restaurant
several hours later with big smiles on our faces.  It was clear that we were all going
to get along well together.

During the week we enjoyed great weather.  The food on the Disney Magic ranged
from good to outstanding, and most of the service we received was in the
outstanding category as well.  Nearly everyone in the group received cabin upgrades,
and some even got last-minute refunds due to a price drop shortly before sailing.
The money came in handy for Bingo and the wonderful shopping ports of St. Maarten
and St. Thomas.  (Tuesday evening nearly every lady in the group sparkled with a
new bauble or two, evidence that St Maarten's jewelry bargains are truly hard to resist.)

Friday we visited Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island.  As a cruise veteran I
can honestly say that there isn't another private cruise island out that that compares
with Disney's.  The family area was well thought out and the quality of the Beach BBQ
was impressive.  The adult-only area known as Serenity Bay is truly a grown-up's
sanctuary.  Beautiful, quiet, spacious - and with all the amenities you could ask for
(right down to the private massage cabanas)... not at all what one would expect from
a cruise line that caters so well to families, but TOTALLY what you'd expect from Disney.

It sure was a sad day when we had to say goodbye to all our new friends, but everyone
was pleased with their experience and looking forward to seeing each other again on
another Pink Ribbon Cruise very soon!
